Yellow Ducks
Explorers! Our Young Toddlers’ program responds to their developing need to “find out!” The young toddler environment is designed to respond to the growing need for discovery by providing materials and supplies that are safe, durable and exciting.
Our staff promotes language and cognitive skills through conversation, labeling, songs and stories. Motor skills are inclusive of leg strength and movement, hand and finger control and specific, as well as, intentional body movement. Self-help skills are promoted and supported in daily routines. Understanding and loving care providers round out the toddler program with consistent individual attention, comfort and warmth.
At EduKids, we design our programs with each individual child in mind.
Developmentally focused adventures and activities are on the agenda for our little ones.
Our daily routines are fun, exciting and flexible!
6:30 – 9:30: You and your child are warmly greeted. Your young toddler is then encouraged to engage in free play enjoying all of the interesting and exciting toys and books in the classroom. Classroom staff will engage your child in reading time, help with puzzles, blocks, dress-up and more!
9:30 – 10:00: Hand washing followed by a morning snack
10:00 – 11:00: Weather permitting, our Yellow Ducks are taken outdoors for walks and play. In their classroom, your child’s morning includes circle time songs, finger plays, stories, art activities, free play and large motor activities.
11:00 – 11:30: Diaper changes and bathroom time
11:30 – 1:00: Hand washing followed by nutritious and delicious family style lunches
1:00 – 3:00: Story, quiet and nap times
3:00 – 3:30: Hand washing followed by an afternoon snack
3:30 – 4:00: Diaper changes followed by bathroom time
4:00 – 6:00: Weather permitting, your child finishes his or her day at EduKids by walking outside and enjoying time in the play yard with friends. Indoor activities include free play, coloring, painting, blocks, Play-Doh, puzzles, dress-up and more.
Our program closes at 6:00 P.M.
