(4 - 5 years) Preference for independence, cooperation and constructive experience describes the preschooler. While transition from home is smoother, the child needs many bonds with other children and adults. Friendship building and celebration of self are focuses of each day.
Children enjoy dressing up and dramatic play, building block structures, working on puzzles and painting a masterpiece each day. New York State PreK standards in Reading/Language Arts and Mathematics frame the Kindergarten Readiness Curriculum. Our Preschool helps organize play, classroom centers and group tasks. Listening skills and language ability are also supported for connection and positive transition into formal Kindergarten.
